Russian government contributes bill on visa facilitation for foreigners

The bill simplifies entry to Russia of foreign citizens arriving to develop and maintain the cultural, scientific, technical, political, sports, youth relations

MOSCOW, March 28. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev ordered to submit to the State Duma a bill on simplification of visa procedures for foreigners entering Russia , the official website of the Cabinet reports. In particular, it is proposed to reduce the number of documents to be submitted for registration of Russian tourist visas, as well as increase the maximum validity period of 30 days to six months, and a multiplicity.
In addition, "the bill is aimed at overall improvement of Russian visa practices creating comfortable conditions for the foreigners who come to Russia for business purposes,” the document states.
Furthermore, the bill simplifies entry to Russia of foreign citizens arriving to develop and maintain the cultural, scientific, technical, political, sports, youth relations.
“The principle of reciprocity is made for increasing the duration of business, humanitarian, private and tourist visas. It will introduce significant visa easing in respect for the citizens of the countries, which will provide Russians with the similar visa facilitation conditions,” the government notes.
The officials hope the implementation of the bill will ease visa formalities.
